Beach declared disaster area due to oil spill in Thailand

The oil spill that occurred last Tuesday in the underwater pipeline of Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited (SPRC) in Thailand reached the shore. The beach was declared a disaster area after the oil spill reached Mae Ramhueng Beach in Rayong province.

NAVY AND SPRC WORK COORDINATED

It was stated that the Royal Thai Navy was working with the SPRC to control the leak, and 150 SPRC employees and 200 navy personnel participated in the work.

WATER BARRIERS INSTALLED

It was stated that barriers were set up to prevent the oil spill from spreading, and 12 ships belonging to the navy, 3 civilian ships and planes responded to the spill.
