In Rome, the emergency services have unearthed a suspected bank robber, who, together with at least three other accomplices, is said to have built a tunnel between an empty shop and a bank.
The tunnel collapsed and the emergency services had to fight for eight hours to dig out the suspected bank robber. His cronies are said to have fled the scene in connection with the collapse of the self-made tunnel construction.
Formally, the suspicions concern resistance to an official and damage to public property.
