Bank of Italy, Eurocoin down with rate hikes and downward revision of activity in Germany

Mortgages Bank of Italy rates down in December

(Finance) – In the month of February, theBank of Italy Eurocoin indicator it fell slightly to -0.05 from 0.06 in January.

This was announced by the Via Nazionale institute, explaining that the the decrease in the indicator was mainly affected of “market interest rate hikes and downward revision of activity in Germany” in the fourth quarter.

Eurocoin – developed by the Bank of Italy – provides a real-time summary estimate of the current economic situation in the euro area, expressing this indication in terms of the quarterly growth rate of the GDP purified of the most erratic components. It is published monthly by the Bank of Italy and by the CEPR.
