Bandy: Västerås got up after anger – still lost against Edsbyn: “Our reactions say it all”

Västerås looked to have tightened their grip on victory when Albin Bysell Söderkvist pushed in 4-2 after Edsbyn did not release the pressure. In the foreplay, Elias Davidsson made his way past the short line – outside the line with the ball meant upset Västerås players.

– It is a heavy goal that we receive against us. Our reactions say it all, the referee’s placement on the wrong side of the goalpost. I can’t understand that he doesn’t see that the ball is out, says Västerås’ Martin Landström to Bandypuls.

The angriest was goalkeeper Henrik Kjellsson, who jumped out of anger and talked to himself of a ten-minute expulsion. During that expulsion, a decimated VSK scored both 4-3 and 4-4 and were on their way to a will point.

“That was right”

In the 88th minute, veteran Per Hellmyrs lifted the ball to Teemu Määttä, who on a half-volley knocked in 5-4 for Edsbyn.

– It was just right, they eat into the match and it was a match right to the end. Seen over 90 minutes, I think we win fairly and when it’s 4-4 we go for it, says Edsbyn’s two-goal shooter Ted Hedell.

Edsbyn strengthened its second place in the table after superior Villa, while SM finalist Västerås remains in fifth place.
