The well-known bakery Aelbers with shops in IJsselstein, Vianen and Montfoort is pulling the plug. The baker is not eligible for government support and cannot afford the high energy bill. Tomorrow the ovens will be switched on for the last time. “My baker’s heart is crying,” says owner Martin Lakerveld.
