The raising of the village was completed last year. The residents were now so used to the bicycle bridge that they wanted to keep it. However, that is not an option, because the temporary bridge does not meet the rules of the water board. The bridge is not high enough above the water and the structure takes up too much space. Building a new bridge is too expensive and, according to the municipality, not necessary. The fixed bridge, 200 meters away, would suffice.
