Now that the Baarnse faction has only one seat with the departure of Jonkers, Hanneke Struijk has to handle it on her own. She worked as a support group member for the past three years and took over the party chairmanship from Jonkers after the elections. “I knew there was some dissatisfaction, but I didn’t expect him to resign,” says Struijk. “And I would rather he hadn’t kept his seat, but it’s his right.”
