“In Syria we always decorated a tree together with my children, husband and parents,” says one of the women. “We ate a lot of goodies and sweets. This reminds me a lot of them,” she says. This Christmas she has to spend without her family because they are still in Syria. “I hope they can come here soon.” She is grateful that Anne Marie, Silke and Tijmen have organized this and that residents can come together here.
