Avatar 2: The Way of Water and its predecessor Avatar were the result of immensely complex filming. This not only means revolutionary CGI, but also the preparation of the actors for their roles and their unique world. Main actor Sam Worthington overstretched the bow, however. Director James Cameron revealed this to Variety:

Sam Worthington wore [bei den Proben auf Hawaii] a kind of loincloth [und] a wig […]. He’s walking through the undergrowth and he comes to a path and there’s a guy walking his poodle. Sam instinctively draws his bow and shoots [das Tier] nearly, he was so into his role. The guy said, ‘What are you doing?’ And Sam just said, ‘We’re making a movie!’

The situation was apparently once again mild and poodle-friendly. But it also shows that the franchise actors: inside for the shoot enter a very special world with special requirements. For example, an Avatar 2 star had to reshoot his scenes after 2 years.

When will the sci-fi blockbuster Avatar 3 be in cinemas?

In view of the box office results of the two previous Avatar films, this effort was definitely worth it. It remains to be seen whether this also applies to the other films in the franchise. Avatar 3 is scheduled for December 18, 2024 come to the cinema.
