The World Indoor Championships in 2024 will take place in Glasgow (Scotland), the International Athletics Federation announced on Wednesday December 1 at the end of its Council. Glasgow hosted the European Indoor Championships in 2019. This will be the third major international indoor competition to take place on the territory of Great Britain in the space of six years, the city of Birmingham having organized the Worlds in 2018. The next edition of the World Championships is scheduled for 18 until March 20, 2022 in Belgrade. .
