Arrest made in Sarnia stabbing

Sarnia police nab three impaired drivers

A 47-year-old Sarnia man was transferred to hospital in London from Bluewater Health because of the severity of injuries he received in a stabbing Sunday on Devine Street in Sarnia, say city police.

It’s alleged the man was stabbed several times after confronting another man who is said to have been sexually inappropriate with a woman at a home in the 800 block of Devine Street, police said.

It’s alleged the suspect fled but was found by police a short distance away and arrested.

Police said Dillon Jacob Gray-Vail, 19, of Sarnia has been charged with sexual assault, aggravated assault and two counts of assault with a weapon.

Anyone with information about the incident is being asked by police to contact Det. Brian Halfpenny at 519-344-8861 ext. 6213.
