Arnold Schwarzenegger explained how he feels about a possible return to his biggest role

Could we see Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator again in the future? In an interview, the action star commented on his iconic role and explained how he feels about returning.

Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about his life and career in an interview on May 16, 2023.

The action legend also spoke about the Terminator franchise and explained how he now feels about his iconic role.

Here you can see a trailer for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator debut in 1984:

“The franchise isn’t finished yet. I’m done.”

What did the star say about a possible return? Arnold Schwarzenegger made it quite clear that although he certainly sees further projects in the Terminator universe, he himself would have finished the series.

“The franchise isn’t finished yet. I’m done. I heard the message loud and clear that the world wants to move on to a different topic when it comes to The Terminator. Someone has to come up with a great idea.”

However, he looks back on the films positively and gratefully, even if the last two titles didn’t perform so well:

“The Terminator was largely responsible for my success, so I was always very fond of him. The first three films were great. At number four [Salvation] I wasn’t there because I was governor. The fifth [Genisys] and the sixth [Dark Fate] weren’t quite as successful for me. We knew that beforehand because they just weren’t written well.”
