Area cordoned off in Alingsås in the search for Henrik

The missing 15-year-old Henrik has been gone for over four days.
Now the police have cordoned off an area in Alingsås, and among other things called in dog patrol, to intensify the search.
– Obviously it’s something you want to investigate undisturbed, says TV4’s reporter Johan Håkansson.

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping in connection with the disappearance of 15-year-old Henrik, who was last seen on Monday afternoon.

In recent days, an extensive search effort has been underway, and a regional special event has been launched. But on Friday afternoon, the police decided to block off an area around Säveån in Alingsås.

TV4’s on-site reporter Johan Håkansson also says that dog patrols have arrived at the scene and that there is a boat in the water, but why this particular area has been cordoned off is currently unknown.

– Obviously it’s something you want to investigate undisturbed, says Johan Håkansson.

There is preparedness for a larger search effort

The cordoned off area is a few hundred meters in size, but no major search effort, with, for example, Missing people, has yet been launched.

– But you are prepared to go up in a larger search if you find an area that might be interesting enough that you want to investigate it, says Johan Håkansson.

The police are otherwise reticent about what it is that makes one suspect crime, and what lies behind the suspicion against the three arrested persons.

– They simply do not want to comment now and refer to preliminary investigation confidentiality, says Johan Håkansson.
