This year, April Fools’ Day madness has started early, and survival game Palworld is at the forefront. The development studio Pocket Pair released a trailer for a dating simulator on March 31st.

What kind of dating simulator? In the game, which is scheduled to be released on April 1, 2025, you can date well-known Palworld characters such as Chillet, Lovander, Zoe and Katress.

You have the choice: Do you just want to stay friends or maybe even get into a romantic relationship? The trailer is peppered with allusions to popular anime clichés and well-known visual novel games like Doki Doki Literature Club.

What do we see in the trailer? The trailer takes you to an anime-style school and there’s plenty of romance and drama waiting for you. In the trailer we see Katress being introduced with the student ID 75 and the quote: You won’t be able to take your eyes off me. She is portrayed as sweet and mysterious, but on the other hand, she is also a Yandere personality who doesn’t tolerate you dating others.

Chillet is shown as a sweet, shy character, while Lovander appears as a seductive senpai and asks the question: How about we have a little fun?. The shady black market dealer is also there.

But although the trailer creates real anticipation, one thing is clear: It’s an April Fool’s joke from Pocket Pair. The studio made it clear that it was a joke by adding an April Fool’s Day hashtag to the trailer.

In the YouTube description, the development team goes one step further: An 18+ version will also be released and Pals take off their clothes?!

How does the community react? Players are apparently really excited about a dating simulator from Palworld. We have summarized a few comments for you under the YouTube video:

    But April Fool’s Day leaves Palworld fans excited. At least Pocket Pair notes in the video description that an update for Palworld is coming soon!.
