Anders Blomquist and Jacob Hård’s advice to Alvar Myhlback

Alvar Myhlback is petitioned from JVM and now many people wonder if he will continue to invest in cross -country skiing or if there will only be long runs ahead.
SVT duo Anders Blomquist and Jacob Hård have an advice to him.

– For me, the answer is very simple, Blomquist tells SVT Sport.

Alvar Myhlback’s big disappointment

One of last week’s big sports snacks was that the super talent Alvar Myhlback18, Pet from the Swedish junior national team squad to participate in JVM in early February. The decision was based on the fact that he did not compete with the special qualifiers required to be selected. The ski association did not want to make any exception for one of Sweden’s greatest talents, which also won two gold at JVM last year.

Myhlback himself was very surprised, disappointed and angry after he got the message from the unions.
– I can’t understand it. Of course annoying as I really would like to join. It’s boring, he says at a press conference and continues:
– I don’t think it should be a discussion. It takes a lot of energy which is a shame. And that it is not fair. They make a decision they know is not good for any of us. I just think it’s totally stupid.

SVT experts’ advice to Myhlback

After the ski association’s message reached the public, a debate was aroused whether Alvar should continue to invest in classic cross -country skiing or whether he should focus entirely on long -distance races, which he loves. When the SVT experts Jacob Hård and Anders Blomquist Had a question time with host Maria Wallberg this weekend they got questions about everything possible, but especially about Myhlback.
– Will Alvar Myhlback invest in traditional skiing or ski classics? That is an interest in here, says Wallberg as she reads a question to the duo.

The duo then gives Alvar Myhlback an advice for the future. It’s really just about being himself and going his own way.
– I like that he combines and that he himself wants to combine and believes that he can do it. I like it, says hard.
– For me, the answer is very simple. If you want to become the world’s best skier, whether it is traditional or in ski classics, it is required that the whole body, heart and brain, really love, long, want and be prepared to do all the hard job required for it. So for me, the easy answer is, feel what you want to do and do it. Then it will be good, says Blomquist.

What do you say about this? Alvar Myhlback should of course compete in JVM. What do you think he should do in the future? Write a comment!
