Film and series productions do not always run as planned, and many problems must then be remedied with improvised solutions. There was also such an incident in the iconic series from Breaking Bad, but this created a well -known figure that has become an integral part of today.

What role is meant? Jonathan Banks or Breaking Bad under the name “Mike Ehrmantraut”, plays the problem solver, contract killer or ice -cold investigators in the series, but he shouldn’t actually happen.
The reason for his appearance and was a sudden incident that prevented another actor from performing. For this reason, Breaking Bad’s authors were forced to create an emergency solution, and so Mike was born.

What kind of incident was that? Rhea Seehorn (Kim Wexler from Better Call Saul) took part in an interview in “The Rich Eisen Show” and revealed details about the production of Breaking Bad (via YouTube). According to Rhea, Mike would not have existed in the series. In season 2, Jesse Pinkman’s girlfriend suffocates on her vomit.
So that her body was taken away, Saul Goodman should actually be called, but that couldn’t happen because the actor from Saul was not available at the time. A solution was needed and therefore the authors of the Mike Ehrmantraut series decided to create – the problem solver from Breaking Bad.
This small change had a major effect on the series from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, as Rhea continues. Saul would have had to “dispose of” the body of Jesse’s girlfriend in an ice -cold act, as Mike then did. That would have completely changed the character of Saul in the future.
But Rhea and Rich Eisen are happy that it happened, because Jonathan Banks is living with Mike of a figure that fits perfectly into the grid of the ice -cold contract killer.
