Ammunition scales found during traffic stop man arrested Chatham Kent police

A 32-year-old Dresden man is charged with possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and four counts of failing to comply with a release order.

An officer stopped a vehicle at about 9 pm Sunday on Victoria Street in Wallaceburg. A passenger was bound by release and prohibition conditions that included not possessing weapons or ammunition, drugs or paraphernalia, not to be outside the residence without a security and to reside at a specific address, police said.

The man was arrested and held pending a bail hearing.

Snowmobiles, trailer stolen from Chatham business

Chatham-Kent police seek the public’s help with a stolen vehicle investigation.

Two snowmobiles and a snowmobile trailer were stolen from the parking lot of Rob’s Automotive Repair on Richmond Street in Chatham sometime between Tuesday and Saturday.

The snowmobiles and trailer are described as:

  • Year orange 2007 Arctic Cat, model F10, registration number 96988.
  • A yellow 1998 Ski Doo last registration number 8AE647.
  • A black 2018 Home trailer, body style PF, last seen with Ontario license W6250Y
