Almost half of all those who study at SFI drop out of the education (2021). And the proportion has clearly increased in recent years, according to TV4 Nyheterna’s review. At the same time, it turns out that many of those who dropped out of Swedish education have neither a job nor studies after a year.
According to the teacher Annika, the dropouts have mainly been noticed among the teaching/study groups where reading and writing skills are the lowest – so-called study path 1:
– We have noticed a pandemic effect.
