The war between Russia and Ukraine continues to be fueled by Western countries, especially the USA. Russia’s signing of a series of agreements and close relations with North Korea forced the United States to take new steps on Ukraine.
According to the statement made by the Ukrainian Presidency, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy received US Secretary of Defense Lloyd James Austin, who was in talks in his country. Speaking before the meeting, Zelenskiy thanked the USA for supporting his country.
NEW PACKAGE OF 400 MILLION DOLLARS FROM THE USA TO UKRAINE
Zelenskiy also emphasized the importance of the assistance the United States has provided to Kiev since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war.
Austin stated that the USA will continue to support Ukraine and said, “Today, I would like to announce that a Presidential Aid Package of 400 million dollars has been allocated to Ukraine for ammunition, military equipment and weapons.” he said.
Noting that he wanted to convene the Ukraine Defense Contact Group once again, Austin said, “We are working with a coalition of more than 50 countries to provide security assistance to Ukraine so that Ukraine can win.” he said.
ZELENSKI: 10 THOUSAND NORTH KOREAN SOLDIERS WILL BE DEPLOYED
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski told reporters in Brussels that Russia was preparing to deploy approximately 10 thousand North Korean soldiers to the battlefield.
Zelenski accused North Korea of providing weapons, workers and soldiers to Russia.
The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) later reported that it was examining allegations that North Korea sent troops to Ukraine to support Russia.
