The cast of the upcoming MCU film from phase 5 was announced for the first time as part of the Disney fan convention D23. We present you all 7 confirmed members of the anti-hero Avengers in more detail.

Before the Avengers return: These are the Thunderbolts in the MCU

In the Marvel Comics, the Thunderbolts are a Team of reformed super villainswho decided to commit heroic deeds. But then a shocking twist followed and the team around Baron Zemo revealed his true and absolutely villainous intentions. However, Marvel later presented the Thunderbolts as a squad of ex-villains and anti-heroes looking to make amends and be truly heroic.

Also in the MCU, the Thunderbolts consist of well-known characters who either did evil in the past or themselves not clearly classify as good to let. It’s basically Marvel’s answer to DC’s The Suicide Squad.
