The day before the last match of the EC qualifiers for Sweden, Janne Andersson confirmed that Albin Ekdal is quitting the national team.
– Albin makes his 70th and last international match tomorrow, says Janne Andersson at a press conference.
– It is a decision that has developed slowly but surely. I’ve raved about it before so it’s no shock to you either. It feels like a good opportunity. I am not getting any younger and feel that I have fought and toiled a lot for this team and for Sweden.
