The launch of Alan Wake 2 is just around the corner. Remedy Entertainment has announced when and in what size players will be able to pre-load it.

However, now, according to the information shared by Remedy Entertainment, they know the boot dates and required storage space. Before the launch on October 27, when the game will be preloaded on PlayStation 5 and Xbox, and the required file sizes for PC and consoles were also announced.

Alan Wake 2 Preload Information and File Sizes Revealed

When Alan Wake 2 was unveiled at The Game Awards 2021, it put an end to rumors about what kind of sequel Remedy would bring to this iconic horror game. Although the first game had a large fan base, it was not as popular as Remedy’s other successful series, “Max Payne”. However, the Alan Wake series has gained a lot of attention in its niche with its light-based gameplay and deep story.

GameSpot was the first to announce when the pre-loading of “Alan Wake 2”, which players are eagerly waiting for, will begin. According to Remedy, PlayStation and Xbox users will have the opportunity to pre-load the game starting at 7:00 AM ET on October 25. Unfortunately for PC players, there’s no word yet on when they’ll be able to pre-load on the Epic Games Store.

Remedy also stated how much storage space “Alan Wake 2” will take up. The PC version of the game will take up 86GB, 85GB for PlayStation 5 and 82GB for Xbox Series X/S. Considering the graphical richness offered by the game, these file sizes are not surprising.

Fans who have been waiting for the game for more than ten years are counting the days to finally return to the world of the main character. We hope the pre-loading process will ease the wait a bit for players.

Alan Wake 2 will hit the shelves on October 27, 2023 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
