Åkesson (SD): The left are not credible in their condemnation of Hamas

Åkesson believes that there are party connections between S, MP and V and the terrorist organization Hamas. Among other things, he refers to the Social Democratic Member of Parliament who this spring took part in a Palestine conference despite his own party’s advice.

Magdalena Andersson, the party leader of the Social Democrats, defends the S member.

– He has devoted his entire political life to fighting against Hamas. I don’t think there is any Member of Parliament who has stated so many times that Hamas is a terrorist organization and his biggest political enemy, she says.

Andersson: Right to recognize Palestine

Palestine has not come out and condemned the Hamas attack. Andersson calls it worrying – but also says that she thinks it was right for the previous S-led government to recognize Palestine as a state.

– A two-state solution is the way forward to achieve peace in this part of the world, she says.

Jimmie Åkesson disagrees.

– I’m not buying this. It is impossible to keep all these organizations together, and all the organizations legitimize this. It is incredibly worrying that Sweden’s largest party has this type of connections today, he says.
