(Finance) – Current and future challenges and prospects of the aeronautical industry, the impact of conflicts and the geopolitical situation and the importance of having effective crisis management plans: these are the topics discussed today, 19 May 2023, at Nicosia (Cyprus), in the international conference organized by EATEUS (European Association of Aviation Training and Educational Organisations), of which the President is the Director General of the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) Alessio Quaranta, and from FSF-MED (Flight Safety Foundation), with the support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works of the Republic of Cyprus and Eurocontrol.

“The importance of aeronautical training and education – he declared Alessio Quaranta in her role as President of EATEO, at the opening of the proceedings – is not yet recognized at the same level as other activities in the sector. He presented the Italian situation and the national and European regulatory framework, as well as the impact that training activities have in terms of improving effectiveness, personal and professional evolution, modernization And organizational change, achievement of quality objectives.
EATEO is a European organization that deals with aeronautical training in favor of all components of the aviation system, including regulators, airlines, airports, air navigation service providers, trade associations, universities, research centres. It was founded in Cyprus in June 2016 and is a non-profit organization. The ENAC Director General, Alessio Quaranta, has been President of EATEO since 2017.

L’goal of the organization is to create a common forum for all European providers of aviation training services. The aim is to contribute, in a consortium form, to the safety and development of civil aviation, coordinating the common positions to be represented in European and international fora.
