There were hot feelings in the derby between AIK and Djurgården in Aviici Arena. It was not least when Albin Grewe brought down AIK’s forward Calle Åsell with a tackle.

The Djurgård forward drove into Åsell and hit his head. After video review, Grewe received a match penalty and there was real anger in the AIK camp.

– Are you completely brain dead?, AIK’s Daniel Muzito-Bagenda is heard shouting on the TV broadcast.

“Not good for the team”

The match penalty was Albin Grewes’ third of the season and he has already been suspended twice earlier this year.

– Of course it’s not good for the team. It (the tackle) is not smart. I can only say that I hope he (Calle Åsell) is fine, says Djurgården’s coach Michael Holmqvist to TV4 Play.

AIK failed to score in the five-minute numerical advantage but the goal, scored by Eric Norin, came just after Djurgården got their fifth player on the ice.

The match ended 3-1 to AIK, who move up to third place after the victory. The other goals were scored by Richard Gynge (2-1) and Matthew Maione (3-1). Olle Liss scored Djurgården’s goal.
