The road plan for national highway 50 that passes by Stora Forsa was established in the summer of 2022, but was then appealed by local residents. Now the government has decided to approve the road plan to rebuild the road, an important transport route for both heavy traffic and commuter traffic, into a meeting-free road.
The Swedish Transport Administration is now carrying out a procurement of a consultant who will produce a request document which in turn will be the basis for the procurement of the contractor who will carry out the work on the road. A contractor is expected to be on site in 2026.
