Acea signs a code for companies responsible for maternity

(Finance) – Acea signed today Code for responsible businesses in favor of maternity, promoted by the Ministry of Family, Natality and Equal Opportunities and presented today in Rome during the event “Motherhood (is not) a business”. The self-discipline code provides for various areas of intervention: support for mothers’ career continuity, prevention and treatment of health needs initiatives, adaptation of working times and methods, support for the costs of care and education of children.

“The Acea Group – we read in a note – has always been committed to the implementation of welfare policies and the strengthening of initiatives in favor of mothers workers. This initiative is part of a path already undertaken by the Company with the adoption of the “Charter of the Person and Participation” signed together with the trade unions. In fact, with the Charter the Group has established, among other measures, the introduction of some measures to improve the provisions of the Law and Contract regarding training and of parentingwith an increase in the three-year per capita hours allocated to staff training and the allowances provided for parental leave, as well as the number of days entitled for paternity leave and for the child’s illness”.
