Why is it important today to buy second hand?
At the beginning of October, it was still 28°C! It is not necessary to have done years of study to realize that something is wrong. Among the means of action that exist to protect the planet, there is changing our purchasing habits. It’s necessary consume less, turn to the second hand… The good news is that we find gems among all the clothes already produced. More interesting, original pieces, of better quality and much less expensive.

How to spot a beautiful vintage piece?
You have to have an eye! But there are plenty ofunique clothes, which we don’t see everywhere. If you look carefully, you can get your hands on someclothing with incredible cuts, made from beautiful materials. The idea is to look for strong pieces, which are often much more expensive when they are new.

What clothes can you buy second hand?
Of all ! A beautiful jacket, pleated pants, an It bag, a retro belt, an oversized shirt… The only criterion is that the piece must be in very good state. Of all the ready-to-wear pieces, I find it particularly difficult to find previously worn shoes that meet this condition. In addition, they are often available in sizes that are not mine at all, so for me, it’s almost impossible to find. On the other hand, I love finding pieces that no one has, like my denim jacket, a little short in the bomber style. Gorgeous !

What reflexes should you adopt to make your favorite clothes last?
I am very careful with the clothes I own. I have a small room in which all my clothes are organized by season and category. Daytime T-shirts, tops for going out, jeans with jeans… I only use wooden hangers, so as not to distort what I hang. Light and fragile parts rely on velvet hangersI carefully fold my stitches… I also read carefully the care label, to wash my clothes optimally, at 30°C, in cold water or dry, in the dry cleaner. And I go to alterations if I need a hem or a pant size adjusted.

How to sort your closet to know what you can sell or not?
Each season, I part with clothes based on what I have worn or not worn in recent months. I check that they are in good condition, that they are not no holes, that the color is not faded and I wash them one last time. Then either I sell them or I give them to associations.
