A man with a gunshot wound outside Vetlanda could be linked to two bombs. The man, who is a member of a criminal motorcycle gang, is now charged with a number of crimes, writes Vetlanda-Posten.

At the beginning of November last year, there was an alarm about gunfire in a residence outside Vetlanda. A man with a gunshot wound was found at the scene. He is believed to have shot himself in the arm with a homemade weapon.

In the man’s phone, information was found that connected him to an explosive device that was found in a car in Skillingaryd in Småland in the fall of 2022. He could also be linked to the thermos bomb that was found in an apartment storage room in Jönköping in the spring of 2023. The man’s DNA was found on both bombs.

The man is charged with, among other things, aggravated weapons offences, preparation for public destruction and aggravated breach of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods
