TPS presented for the first time in the hockey league Saku Koivun of a boy Aatos Koivunwho appeared as the center of the Turku club’s triple chain Kasper Pikkarainen and Jan Shikeran in the “junnu chain” formed in Mikkeli. Pikkarainen, 17, is the same age as Aatos and he is a former TPS attacker Ilkka Pikkarainen son.

The addition of Koivu didn’t bring much-needed power to TPS, which lost to Jukurei, who are fourth in the series, with a score of 0-4.

– An even game if you don’t count the goals. Aatos Koivu’s court was clearly our best throughout the entire game. It’s worrying and it’s not right if we want to win these away games. The boys have a bright future, as long as their feet stay on the ground and work is maintained every day, TPS coach Tommi Miettinen evaluate.

Even though the guests from Turku dominated the game for long stretches in the rink, they did so in the goal-scoring game Olli Jokinen shields were better Michael Kovarcikin, Pasi Puistola, Linus Nässen’s and Niko Huuhtanen ™ with hits. Keeper Rasmus Korhonen needed 31 saves for his clean sheet.

A dagger from the JYP coach to his own top players

JYP suffered their fifth loss in a row after the club management fired the coaching duo Jukka RautakorpiVille Nieminen.

JYP’s first-season three-time coach, promoted to responsible captain after the sacking Mikko Heiskanen criticized his leading players and urged all players to look in the mirror.

– Those players who demanded a lot were not worth it today, that they deserved something. That way I’m worried about the tip. The demands are tough, but nothing is ready to be brought to the field. Then again, the younger guys gave their all today, Heiskanen whipped STT.

Kärppi’s head coach Ville Mäntymaa left the court in Jyväskylä in the middle of the second round due to a stomach flu.
