A worthy One Piece successor starts in 8 days and here is the trailer

Was One Piece just the beginning of a wave of really good anime adaptations? Netflix may provide an answer as early as next week. Then the live-action adaptation of the legendary manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi starts with Yu Yu Hakusho. The new trailer already promises one spectacular fantasy series with huge demon battles.

The plot of Yu Yu Hakusho is about the teenage bully Yusuke Urameshi (Takumi Kitamura), who dies in an accident and is then given a second chance by the ghost prince Koenma. He is allowed back among the living and, on behalf of the afterlife, is supposed to defeat dangerous Yokai who have come from the demon world to the human world as a ghost detective.

As the trailer for Yu Yu Hakuhso shows, the focus of the series is primarily on exciting fights, which will particularly delight fans of anime like One Piece and Dragon Ball Z. For example, Yusuke trains a supernatural fighting ability that allows him to shoot huge balls of energy while his fellow combatants Rose lassos, energy swords and dragon fists bring to use.

As a Netflix report shows, the fight scenes between humans and demons were used 170 cameras at the same time used to capture the action in 360 degrees and later connect live action elements and CGI characters in the best possible way.

When does Yu Yu Hakusho start on Netflix?

Yu Yu Hakusho starts next week, on December 14, 2023 on Netflix. The first season is over 5 episodes consist.
