A wonderful gesture from Kerttu Niskas at the victory celebration

Kerttu Niskanen won the traditional 10th distance at the Tour de Ski in Toblahci, but took into account her fiercest competitors Jessie Diggins and Victoria Carl.

Kerttu from Niskase we saw a wonderful sportsmanship after the traditional victory of Toblach. He went to help as well Jessie Diggins that Victoria Carlia in removing skis and otherwise supporting after a severe wrinkle. Carl was second in the race and Diggins was third.

– I am so excited about Kertu’s victory. He is so great, Diggins put the atmosphere and brought up the athletic aspect as well.

– Especially the way he skis traditional is really wonderful. So graceful and powerful. I try to ski like him.

Victoria Carl also thanked the Finn.

– I’m really happy that Kerttu is back. Thanks for your help, because it was tight at the end, Carl smiled.

The announcer at the Toblach stadium demanded the same great celebration from the Finnish team as was seen from the French and American team in Friday’s sprint after the men’s sprint. However, the women now took it in moderation.

Niskanen didn’t crack open the sparkling drink.

– Jessie asked if there would be a bang. I said no. I didn’t want to get my clothes dirty when the Tour is just beginning, Niskanen stated.

However, Kerttu Niskanen was able to wind down to the rhythm of a Finnish song when Sunrise Avenue’s Hollywood Hills was played from the speakers.

The Tour de Ski continues on Monday with the 20 kilometer (v) pursuit race. The men’s race starts at 11 a.m., the women’s at 1:30 p.m. follows Tour in this article.
