A superhero sequel as brutal and funny as Deadpool and starring Jim Carry in one of his meanest roles

Before Deadpool came along, there was Kick-Ass. The mixture of superhero costumes, brutal violence and dirty humor worked so well that the sequel Kick-Ass 2 came to the cinemas in 2013. And with Jim Carrey as a maniac vigilante in uniform. Today the FSK 18 cracker is on TV.

On TV: Kick-Ass 2 teaches Deadpool the fear with Jim Carrey

Part 2 begins a short time after its predecessor. Costumed vigilante Dave (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) has gathered a small group of like-minded people and takes on the amateur supervillains Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). His team also includes former mafia henchman Sal Bertolinni aka Captain Stars and Stripes (Carrey). Only hit girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) gets a strict ban from her new family. At least for now.

Like its predecessor, Kick-Ass 2 isn’t stingy with bizarre characters. In particular Carrey convinces as a baseball bat-wielding Captain America blend without superpowers. In the eyes of many fans, the Deadpool films can cut a slice from the playfulness of the series. Part 3 of the anti-Marvel carnage has been planned for a long time.
