But in another life, for even a few months, they were named Joohee, Matheus, Niyongira or Chandralatha in their homeland, South Korea, Brazil, Rwanda or Sri Lanka. A documentary film, A story of one’s own, gives to hear the testimonies, the sometimes chaotic and painful life courses of five people adopted in France. What do these destinies tell about the importance of knowing your origins, your history, North-South relations too? This is what we are exploring with director Amandine Gay.
