Iranian television showed the images of the underground base, called Eagle-44, a reference to the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, which will be celebrated on Saturday February 11.

We see, in the video, huge tunnels where fighter planes circulate. According to the television commentator, this base is protected against bombardments, in particular American anti-bunker bombs.

Faced with the progress of Iran’s nuclear program, Israeli officials regularly claim that the Jewish state could take military action to prevent Tehran from manufacturing atomic weapons.

As negotiations between Iran and the major powers stall to revive the 2015 nuclear deal that limits Iran’s program, Tehran has produced enough enriched uranium to build several bombs.

In any case, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, General Mohammad Bagheri warned Israel and the United States, affirming that Tehran will respond with force to any attack against its installations.

In May 2022, Iran had already shown images of a drone base located in the Zagros mountains in the west of the country for the first time.
