A reporter was crushed to death as the convoy of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan, along with thousands of his supporters, was advancing to the capital, Islamabad.

Sadaf Naeem, a reporter on Channel 5, who covered the convoy in the city of Sadhoke in Punjab, died after being run over by the bus that Khan was in. It was reported that while Naeem was following the convoy, he fell over the container and was under the bus.

Khan expressed his condolences to Naeem’s family, stating that the march should move towards Kamoke in the Gujranwala District of Punjab, but that the march will be stopped after the accident.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, on the other hand, expressed his sadness over the death of Naeem, whom he described as a “dynamic and hardworking reporter”, and conveyed his condolences to Naeem’s family.
