Barricades and gates are perhaps some of the most disliked elements in Diablo 4’s open world Sanctuary. Now they also prevent players from successfully completing the quest “Fury against Fate”.
Diablo 4 has actually been running flawlessly since it was released. A few bugs here and there, but overall there have been few complaints from players. There was even praise for the technical condition.
However, some bugs still prevent quests from being completed or prevent players from progressing somewhere.
A player posted a video on Reddit on July 12 showing him trying to destroy a goal. However, the barricade is completely unimpressed and prevents him from completing a quest. Many players seem to have the bug.
“Fury Against Gate”
Why can’t he complete the quest? Successful completion of the quest involves destroying the gate to advance to the next stage of the quest. The players actually accompany a few NPCs with whom you interact beforehand.
With the player u/TheHeartsFilthyLesin, however, the gate’s health bar does not lose an millimeter when he attacks it with various attacks. There is no trace of the NPCs in the video either.
In the post, the player writes: “Come on, Blizzard, fix the “Fury against Fate” quest.” Here you can see the video:
This is how other players react to it: CourageousChronicler quips in the comment: “More like Fury Against Gate, am I right?” (via Reddit). In German, his answer means: “Rather anger against the goal, am I right?” elektromas writes: “Uber Barrikade, the true endgame!” (via Reddit).
The problem doesn’t seem to be unique to u/TheHeartsFilthyLesin though. Under his post, many players say that the quest is bugged for them too. In another post on Reddit, user ivan2340 writes a possible solution that seems to have helped some players (via Reddit):
Another player first destroyed everything around the NPCs that might be in the way. After that he went to the dungeon entrance while the quest dialog was running and back to the gate (via YouTube). So he was able to complete the quest successfully.
What is this quest? “Rage Against Destiny” is the third part of a quest chain that starts with “Consumed by Pride”. You get the quest from the NPC Ealda in the Dry Steppes in the area “The Untamed Slopes” south of the waypoint “The Onyx Tower”.
Luckily there are many other quests in Diablo 4 that you can do in time. The side quest “Unyielding Flesh” is even available in the first area. And it fits the game perfectly:
One of the best quests in Diablo 4 is easy to miss if you level up too fast
