The folk festival of the Lions World Cup gold team was held on Monday in Tampere. The celebration properly ended with the Finlandia anthem, which made one of the Lions heroes sensitive.

Waltteri Torikka sang Finlandia together Paula Vesalan with. Before the show Sakari Manninen went to give his gold medal to Torika.

When Jean Sibelius composed by and VA Koskenniemen the national treasure echoed by the puck people, Manninen initially sang along.

Soon emotions took over. Manninen noticed how deeply he moved as he listened to the duet of Vesala and Torika. Manninen burst into tears and finally shook his head. Other Lion players and, for example, the head coach Jukka Jalonen moved from Finland.

Manninen, 30, scored the goal in the men’s hockey World Cup final on Sunday. Finland won Canada 4–3 in the final of the World Cup.

The championship is the fourth in puck history for Finland.

More than 30,000 celebrants

Police said it was estimated that more than 30,000 partygoers had gathered at the scene.

The whole World Championship of Lions visited the party. In addition, JVG and Vesala and Haloo Helsinki, who also performed at the opening of the World Championships just over two weeks ago, were responsible for the musical side.

In Helsinki, the celebration had already subsided on Monday, and according to the police, only a few people had gathered around the Havis Amanda statue, which had experienced hardships at night.

The choice of venue was a great symbolism. Hakametsä is Finland’s first ice rink, and it was completed in 1965 for Finland’s first World Championships. Hakametsä also later served as the venue for the World Championships, but Helsinki and Turku were the main venues. The venues for the World Championships, which ended on Sunday, are Tampere Arena and Helsinki Ice Rink.
