In addition to the new trailer dedicated to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games also revealed the arrival of a limited-edition PS5 during San Diego Comic-Con. This is the very first in almost three years of existence for Sony’s latest console, which was content with a few faceplates with different colors. If for the moment the price of this machine is not yet known, we can however revel in the really successful artistic choice. The console mixes two colors: black and red, knowing that the first color represents Venom, whose symbiote nibbles the front panel of the PS5 to try to swallow the Spider-Man logo. A nice analogy to show that Peter Parker is going to be infected by this extraterrestrial viscous liquid. The DualSense controller sports the same visual scheme, which gives it a really impactful look too.
Sony Interactive Entertainment took the opportunity to announce that it will be possible to buy the elements separately, since faceplates and the DualSense Spider-Man 2 will also be marketed separately. Obviously, like any collector’s item, stocks will be limited and you will have to be on the lookout as soon as pre-orders open on July 28, 2023.
