The federal prosecutor’s office, in charge of terrorism cases, carried out checks on possible terrorist motivation this Monday evening. According to the Belgian newspaper THE Eveningthe police forces favor the terrorist trail.
A spokesperson for the prosecution simply told AFP that an investigation had been opened, without being able to comment on the motive immediately.
