A man and a woman are suspected of murder in Malå – this is what we know about the people

On the night of February 13, a man in his 30s died in Malå. The police started a preliminary investigation into murder.

A woman in her 40s and a man in her 50s are in custody on probable cause for murder.

We know this about the people.

The man in his 50s:

  • Lives in Malå.
  • In 2019, he was sentenced to 2 months in prison for abusing a neighbor by punching him in the face, as well as for gross illegal driving when he drove a car despite not having a driver’s license.
  • Occurs under 24 sections in the load register. During the 2010s, the 50-year-old has been convicted several times for illegal driving. Before that, he is convicted of mixed criminality.
  • The man denies any wrongdoing.
  • The woman in her 40s:

  • Lives in Malå, but born in southern Sweden.
  • Has not been convicted of any violent crime before.
  • The woman denies any wrongdoing.
  • A 55-year-old man and a boy under 18 are also suspected of involvement in the suspected murder. They were arrested the day after the crime but were later released as the suspicions had weakened.
