HEALTH SUPPORT TO THE MAN WHO HAS A HEART ATTACK WITH DRONE
A 71-year-old man suffered a heart attack while shoveling snow in Trollhättan, Sweden. Seeing the man collapse on the way to work, the doctor realized that something was wrong and rushed to help. The man had no pulse. While the doctor asked someone else to call the emergency hotline, he began CPR on the unfortunate man. A few minutes later, the drone with defibrillator arrived. Thus, life-saving measures through defibrillation could be initiated before the ambulance arrived and the man’s life was saved.
After fully recovering, the heart-attacked man said, “I can’t express in words how grateful I am for this new technology and the speedy delivery of the defibrillator. “If it wasn’t for the drone, I probably wouldn’t be here.”
WHAT IS A DEFIBRILLATOR?
A defibrillator is a device that allows the abnormal beat of the heart to return to normal heart rhythm. If electrical energy is given to the fibrillated or newly stopped heart in the form of shock, the heart is stimulated externally and contracts. It is also used in the treatment of VF/VT type rhythm disorders in the heart. In short, it can also be described as an electro-shock device.
