It goes like this. Next to the campus, which houses the Leidsche Rijn College and a sports hall, three large water reservoirs are being constructed at a depth of five meters. Two of them serve as seasonal storage, the third as an emergency facility. A reservoir with cold water supplies the building with cooling in the summer, after which the heated water flows into the warm reservoir. Together with three hundred solar collectors and seven hundred solar panels on the roof, the water is further heated to a maximum of 95 degrees.
