Edvin Anger left the World Cup in Trondheim with two bronze medals.
But the season is not over for that.
He is the first Swedish herdr in over 20 years who actually has the chance to win the overall World Cup.
“It’s about time that it happens again,” he tells SVT Sport.
It didn’t start so well for Edvin Anger22, in ski World Cup. He came second in the sprint prologue, but could not get to the final. Then he came in fourteenth place in the skiathlon. Then suddenly woke up and lined up fine performance: fourth place in the 10-kilometer race as well as bronze medals in the team sprint and in the baton.
Edvin Angers fine World Cup season
Now only over a week remains of the World Cup season. On Wednesday there is a city sprint in Estonian Tallinn and this weekend the end in Lahti awaits. Right now Edvin is second in the overall World Cup and third in the Sprint Cup, thanks to his competing so much during the season and performed at a higher level than before.

Had he known before the season that it would go so well, he would have been a little shocked.
– I probably wanted to believe it but I don’t know if I had really done it. But I am surprised that things went as well as it did, that I would be involved in fighting for a pallet place in the overall World Cup I did not think. I thought I could happen when I am 26, 27 but now I am 22 and am second, says Anger to SVT Sport.
Edvin Anger’s words about the end of the season
The last time any Swedish gentleman was so good in the World Cup was 2004, then Mathias Fredriksson52, also lay second. So it was more than 20 years since someone was able to do with the same achievement that Edvin Anger now does.
– It is about time that it happens again and this generation has something going on and we start with this so we aim in first place then, he says.
