Edvin Anger ignored Thomas Wassberg’s old advice to him

When Edvin Anger got to know Thomas Wassberg several years ago, he received some advice from the 68-year-old.
Two years later, he had done exactly the opposite of what the skiing legend told him.
Now Wassberg comes up with a new statement.

Last weekend won Edwin Anger22, his first race in the World Cup. After the sprint victory in the French Les Rousses, the form is really good for this weekend in the Swiss Engadin.
– I’ve been feeling it a bit, the summer has been going well. It has been very, very positive and it is something that has happened during the summer that makes things go faster in the track, he says to SVT Sport.

Already four and a half years ago, the Swedish legend had Thomas Wassberg68, saw the greatness with Edvin. He had a small hand in the game when Anger was recruited from IFK Hedemora to Wassberg’s club Åsarna IK. The 22-year-old now follows in Wassbergs, Torgny Mogrens and Johan Olsson’s footprints.

Wassberg’s question to Edvin Anger

Edvin later moved from Dalarna and now lives in Östersund, a short distance from Åsarna. He lives there with his Norwegian girlfriend Emma Axelssonwho also skis. When the hot Swede recently met the local Dalarna newspaper Södran, he told that Wassberg had previously given him advice about women in particular.
“Do you have a girlfriend?” Thomas Wassberg is said to have asked Edvin when they first met. When Anger replied that he didn’t have it, the icon said, “Good, keep going.”

Edvin Anger thus ignored Wassberg’s old advice and became together with Emma. They have now been a couple for almost two years.
– It lasted for two years, Edvin said when he showed the girlfriend to Södran at the time.

Thomas Wassberg’s new words about Anger

When the newspaper now meets Wassberg again and reminds him of the advice he once gave to Edvin Anger, he first replies that he doesn’t even remember saying it to him. But it turns out that he is not adamant on that point today anyway.
– With the right girl it works, he says.

Wassberg says he believes Anger will grab more podiums, and maybe even wins, this winter. However, it may be difficult to beat the super-skilled Norman Johannes Hösflot Kläbo28.
– I don’t think he beats Kläbo when Kläbo is in shape. But Kläbo can also have a bad day and then there is a chance, he says.

Congratulations on your first World Cup victory last weekend, Edvin! So happy that you finally got to stand at the top of the podium. The following day, William Poromaa also won his first World Cup competition. Things suddenly look much better for the Swedish men ahead of the WC.
