There are 13 residents in hospital with COVID-19 including two who are in intensive care, public health officials in Haldimand-Norfolk say.
Figures posted Wednesday by the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit indicate there have been 110 new cases of COVID-19 in the two communities since figures were last updated on April 13. However, the number of new cases is likely higher due to limited testing.
The health unit recorded 46 new cases on April 14 and 32 new cases on April 15. However, over the past 48 hours, the health unit reported just three new cases of COVID-19.
There have been 72 COVID-19 related deaths and 19 non-COVID-19-related deaths in the two communities since the pandemic began.
According to Public Health Ontario, there have been 8,066 cases of COVID-19 in Haldimand and Norfolk since the pandemic began.
There are also four outbreaks of COVID-19 in congregate settings in Haldimand-Norfolk.
