In Sudan, residents of 40 villages in the north of al-Jazeera state have been forced to flee in recent days in the face of paramilitary violence, according to the Al-Jazeera Conference, a civilian structure that informs for a year on the situation in this state controlled by General Hemedti’s RSF since December 2023. This new wave of violence against civilians takes place as the regular army approaches, which seeks to retake Wad Madani, the capital.
