Citizens, businesses and community organizations in the County of Brant have the opportunity to provide input on the county’s proposed 2025 budget.

“The County of Brant budget is a detailed financial plan that outlines how funds are prioritized and allocated to various services and projects in order to respond to the needs of the growing community,” explained communications director Suzie Keczan. “The proposed budget will outline key priorities for 2025, including infrastructure improvements, community services, and economic development initiatives.
“This is an opportunity for the public to help guide decision-making on how tax dollars are invested to maintain and enhance the quality of life in the County of Brant.”
An online survey is now available that helps participants understand how funds are utilized and identify which projects and services are most important.

Visit EngageBrant.ca/2025Budget or pick up a printed survey at County of Brant Customer Service offices in Paris and Burford. The survey can also be completed over the phone by calling 519-44BRANT (519-442-7268) or toll free 1-855-442-7268. The survey closes on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 4 pm
The public can also attend committee of the whole meetings on January 16 at 9 am, and January 22 at 6 pm inside council chambers. Community engagement ends on January 24.
“Community feedback is essential to the budget process,” said Heather Boyd, general manager of corporate services. “We are committed to transparency and collaboration, and we look forward to hearing from residents about what matters most to then as we plan for the future.”

“Your voice is crucial in helping us build a sustainable and prosperous future,” he said. “Together we can ensure the 2025 budget aligns with the needs and vision of our growing community.”
