A new study published in the journal BMC Medicine revealed that exercising between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. reduces the risk of bowel cancer by 11 percent. According to the study headed by Michael Leitzmann, a study conducted on 86 thousand 252 people between the ages of 42 and 79 showed that those who exercise between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. have a lower risk of cancer than those who are active at other hours. These findings highlight the need to examine the positive effects of exercise timing on health more broadly.
EXERCISE TIME RECOMMENDATIONS

Dr. Çınar said, “Aerobic exercises performed in the morning can help us feel more energetic for the rest of the day and are effective in weight control by accelerating our metabolism.”
Assoc. Dr. Çiğdem Çınar stated that exercise relieves symptoms of anxiety and depression by triggering the release of endorphins. He said that exercises in the morning can help us spend the day in a more positive mood.
MORNING EXERCISE: INCREASES BRAIN FUNCTIONS
Assoc. Prof. stated that aerobic exercises performed in the morning increase brain functions and increase body temperature, helping us feel more alert and focused throughout the day. Dr. Çiğdem Çınar emphasized that morning exercises accelerate the metabolism and are more productive than later hours of the day.
LUNCH WALKS: REDUCE STRESS
Assoc. Dr. Çiğdem Çınar said that a short walk during the lunch break reduces work stress and makes working more productive in the afternoon. Çınar said, “A 15-20 minute walk provides physical and mental relaxation.”
EVENING EXERCISE: INCREASES MUSCLE STRENGTH
Assoc. Dr. Çiğdem Çınar stated that resistance exercises performed in the evening are more productive. Assoc. Dr. Çiğdem Çınar said, “Exercises performed in the evening hours, when our muscles are warmer, support muscle development and increase endurance.”
