After weeks – if not years – of waiting, the time had come last night: the new lighting of the restored Dom Tower could be seen for the first time. It was unveiled with a special edition of the Sint Maarten Parade and a big party on a packed Domplein. Ultimately it was up to Queen Máxima to ‘light’ the Dom Tower.
